General Description

KIA-ORA (Mauri for welcome )was built in 1836, which adds to its beauty and mystique. We have three suites all with master bedrooms, sitting rooms and modern three piece bathrooms. Your meals can either be served in our spacious dining room or on our wonderful two tiered deck. However, if privacy is what you crave we will endeavor to meet your special needs. We have a beautiful yard secluded by gigantic cedars that features multi decks for your personal use with a view of our
picturesque gardens.
It's a short walk or bicycle ride (bikes provided) to the historical downtown of Niagara-on the-Lake which has often been referred to as one of the prettiest towns in Canada. NOTL is situated on the banks of Lake Ontario and at the mouth of the Niagara River and features numerous bike and walking trails and breathtaking park lands.
Whether you crave the theatre(world famous Shaw Festival), a game of chance (visit Niagara's casinos}, golf (we are minutes to dozens of courses) or a pearl for the palette {you are in the premiere wine country of Canada} Niagara on the Lake and the Niagara region have it all. Share our home and share our friendship, you definitely will not be disappointed.

Breakfast

Breakfast may be served in our dining room, two tiered outdoor deck or if requested in a private setting.
Start your day with a hot cup of coffee, special brewed teas and assorted juices. Toasts, muffins, fresh fruit and cereal compliment home cooked meals that are in a variety of styles, English, European or Canadian. Each day will lead to a new delight so grab the paper or your favorite novel, sit back and let us pamper you.
For those who have food allergies or certain dislikes we will gladly design a menu to meet your needs.

Local Attractions

Kia-Ora B&B is situated in the Olde Towne of Niagara on the Lake and is within easy walking distance to the main shopping district, the three live theatres and area Spas. Canada's oldest public Golf Course is a three minute drive and all the
major area Golf Courses are also within minutes. Fine,medium or light dining is within a short walk, as are the beautiful streets of Niagara, featuring beautiful gardens and wonderful street scapes. Our Home is situated near the bike and walking trails that cover over a 100 klm,s along the beautiful Niagara River, featuring Niagara Falls and both Lake Ontario and Lake Erie shore lines.

We have bikes available on site at no charge or feel free to bring your own. Walk, ride a bike, drive or take a guided tour to the world famous wineries of Niagara.
We are a fifteen minute drive from Niagara Falls and a ten minute drive to the international bridge that links Canada to the USA. If you are in to History, Niagara on the Lake is the place for you as we are one of the oldest towns in Canada and feature our own Fort (for public display) and a fantastic museum. Many of the towns churches are within walking distance and service schedules are available. If there is a Daredevil in you take the local jet boats up the Niagara
River into the famous River gorge which features the whirlpool and rapids or visit the many attractions of Niagara.

Directions

From the Q.E.W. Niagara on the Lake exit, please follow directions to the city on Mississauga Road (through the village of Virgil) and into the old town. Turn right at Mary Street (you will see the gas station on the left hand side). Kia-0ra Bed and Breakfast is on the left hand side of the street(at 127 Mary St), approximately two blocks down (just past the Church on the corner).

From the Niagara Parkway, please follow directions into town on Queen Street. Make a left hand turn at the corner of Queen and King Streets, and follow King until it intersects with Mary Street (approximately 4 blocks). Turn right on Mary Street. Kia-Ora Bed and Breakfast will be on the right hand side (approximately 3 blocks down).
