General Description

The Historic Peter Secord House c.1782 bed & breakfast is a gracious, comfortably appointed home, distinctively located in St. Davids Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake which is the hub of the Niagara area. It is close to wineries (Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery with celebrity chefs Michael & Anna Olsen is a short walk away) Shaw Festival Theatres, golf courses, shopping and all the fabulous sights/points of interest in Niagara.

This Loyalist home which is the oldest in Ontario survived the War of 1812 and the burning of St. Davids in July,1814. It has been tastefully restored and has a private verandah surrounded by perennial gardens for relaxing intimate moments.

The guest suites are large (with private entrance) ensuite bathroom, air-conditioned, cable T.V. and furnished with period antiques that are usable. Guests enjoy a common sitting room with fireplace.

For your pleasure and convenience we will arrange Wine Tours/dinner reservations/theatre tickets for you. When touring the wineries you'll be picked up at the door and can relax and experience visiting award winning Estate wineries/Cottage wineries and taste VQA wines that are not available in liquor stores. Lunch/Dinner can be included in the tour at Strewn Winerie's Terrior La Cachette, home to Canada's winery cooking school.

Each morning enjoy an upscale breakfast including home grown produce, seasonal Niagara fruits, home baked breads such as scones, biscuits, muffins, croissants and fruit loaves, preserves/jams and hot entree.
